In the summer of 2015 Temple University School of Medicine Students, Residents and faculty spent academic time at the Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute.
The valuable time was utilized to develop close ties in forwarding relations in Patient Care, Medical Education and Academic Research at all levels.
A three tier level of interaction happened at Medical Students, Resident and Faculty level. Key areas of Emergency Preparedness for Hospitals, Critical Sonology and Acute Patient Care were the focus of building ties.
The foundation of this visit was laid on a strict layout of constructive interaction where everyone interacted in the perspective of the mission to improve the quality of patient care.
The Temple team worked on gaining knowledge of how processes happen in Teaching hospitals in India and the Indian partners worked on gaining insight on how things work in the free world of the United States Health Systems.
Dr. Jayaraj MB (Jubilee) and Dr. Manish Garg (Temple University) were the program directors who successfully conducted this inaugural INDUSEM Event.
Building on the success of this model INDUSEM will now push for more colleges to incorporate the Triple Interaction Model of International Education Exchange to better the quality of patient care.
INDUSEM foresees the expansion of this model to Basic Science Research, Public Health and Nursing Care too as we continue to befit the new mantra “Make in India”…Indians are already on that path !
