The Uttarakhand chapter of EMA India was launched at the Foundation Meeting of the Chapter at AIIMS Rishikesh.
Prof Surekha Kishore, Dean Academics, Professor Bina Ravi, Dean Alumni, Prof Manoj Gupta, Dean Student Welfare were the Faculty Initiators of the State Chapter of EMA Headquartered at AIIMS Rishikesh.
Emergency Medicine Association (EMA) India is national body of Qualified Emergency Physicians in India.
The launch of EMA Uttarakhand gives impetus to development of Emergency Medicine and betterment of Emergency Medical Services in Uttarakhand State.
AIIMS Rishikesh is first among all new AIIMS to start post graduate program in Emergency Medicine.
The function was also graced by Dr. Bonnie Arquilla, Director Disaster Preparedness at New York and DrPia Daniel, Assistant Professor at New York University.
“Padmashree Prof Ravikant, is the Director and CEO of AIIMS Rishikesh. It is his leadership which has led the development of the State Chapter in Uttarakhand. His good wishes will always bless this chapter and his experience will guide the work done by Leaders of this Uttarkhand Chapter of EMA” said INDUSEM CEO Dr. Sagar Galwankar.
