The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) held its annual scientific assembly at Baltimore, Maryland, USA from 23rd to 27th April 2022.
It was a land mark event as the AAEM Simulation Group held its Inaugural meeting at this Annual Congress.
Simulation in Medicine has many facets which fall under arenas of Education, Innovation and Patient Care.
The Science of Simulation in Medicine is evolving as more academicians embrace this sub-specialty of medicine.
There was an immediate need to start the process of organizing Simulation Leaders in Emergency Medicine at a National Level in the United States. It is with this intention that the AAEM SIM Group was launched.
The Inaugural Meeting focused on building an AAEM SIM Experts Network across the world.
Creating expert documents and conducting multi-center studies was identified as an area of expansion by the group.
AAEM SIM Group Founding Chairs Dr. Afrah Ali from University of Maryland and Dr. Rose Goncalves from the Florida State University championed the inaugural meeting along with AAEM Award Winner Dr. Sagar Galwankar.
