The Department of Emergency Medicine at BJ Government Medical College and Sassoon Hospitals (BJGMC&SH) Pune and The Emergency Medicine Association of Maharashtra hosted an Outstanding Education Symposium on SHOCK In Emergency Medicine.
Speraheaded by The Head of BJGMC&SH Emergency Medicine Professor Dr. Rajeshwari Sanjay Vhora this Educational Symposium was both innovative and interactive.
Residents and Faculty from all over Maharashtra participated in this landmark event.
The EM Residency Program at BJGMC&SH is now in its second year and will soon welcome its 3rd Batch of PGY 1 Residents.
The CME covered an extensive spectrum of clinical scenarios related to shock. A hands-on session on interosseous access provided practical experience, enhancing the delegates skills in emergency procedures.
The CME was also granted two Maharashtra medical council credit points.

Professor Dr Rajeshwari Sanjay Vhora is a an influential INDUSEM Leader. She has served INDUSEM at various levels and in various capacities. From being an Undersecretary for EMA Maharashtra and Chairing MAHAEM2019, to being a Chief Editor for the TEAMS newsletter, today she is an examiner for MD and DNB EM Exams as well as a national trainer for NEMBRIC. Her career graph chalks her as a graduate and postgraduate from Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital, Mumbai. She moved from Internal Medicine to Emergency Medicine in 2012 and later joined her husband & life partner Dr Sanjay Vhora, a Neurosurgeon, to establish Emergency Medicine services at BJGMC&SH. Currently she spearheads the NMC Recognized MD PG Program in Emergency Medicine at BJGMC&SH since 2021. She mentors, teaches, and promotes EM care via the path of Academic EM.

“B. J. Government Medical College & Sassoon Hospitals (BJMC&SH) is a public medical college located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The college, administered by the Government of Maharashtra, comprises clinical and para/pre-clinical departments working alongside the Sassoon General Hospital.
