Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute with funding support from the Indian Council for Medical Research along with organizational support from KFRI, INDUSEM, EMA and ACEE launched the Inaugural Snake Bite Life Support (SBLS) Training Program on 17th, 18th and 19th May 2023.
SBLS was endorsed by The WHO Collaborating Center for Emergency & Trauma in South East Asia.
Snake Bite Life Support (SBLS) is an endeavor aimed at educating medical professionals, empowering them to effectively treat and manage this ‘neglected tropical disease’, while also fostering networking and mutual assistance among them.
SBLS intends to train physicians across India through a standardized curriculum for snakebite management helping them to provide safe, effective and evidence-based treatment for the same.
SBLS has two parts namely SAVIOR and SAFETi.
SAVIOR trains health providers in remote hospitals while SAFETi is an introductory course to wilderness medicine for health care workers and first responders in austere situations.

Promoting A standardized model it focusses on transfer criteria and care protocols in conditions of suspected and confirmed snake envenomation.
