INDUSEM initiatives ACEE and EMA partnered with The Raigad Bikers Fest held in February 2020. This is the 4th Year of the Fest. Bikers from across the nation meet annually to celebrate their love for biking and travel. This year around 300 + bikers attended the fest with their bikes.
The Theme of this year’s fest was focused on Road Safety. The Fest was endorsed by The World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Emergency and Trauma.
There are regular bikers festivals held across the nation. Goa is well know to host such festivals. Raigad district is beautiful with serene beaches and a clean coastline. Increasing the visibility of this beautiful district and enhancing tourism was also one of the missions when this bike fest was started 4 years ago with only 30 bikers in attendance.
Police Chief Mr. Paraskar inaugurated this festival. Mr. Vilas Burande and Mr. KaustubhPatil spearheaded the organization of this event.
The bikers drove in the district in a flagged rally propagating safe driving, wearing of helmets and promoting alcohol free riding. Not speeding was specifically emphasized.
The Festival was held under the auspices of the Jeevan Jyoti Rashtriya Abhiyan and The Jan Suraksha Abhiyan.
Martial Arts Instructor Mr. Prasad Chaulkar who himself is fantastic biker and a singer led this event. The bikers loved the beach and the entertainment which came with the Fest.
In 2021 The festival will be held on 13th and 14th February.
