The department of Emergency Medicine, PESIMSR, Kuppam by joining hands with EMA leaders Dr. Vimal Krishnan. S, Principal Secretary of EMA and Dr. Siju.V. Abraham, have taken a major step in promoting awareness among primary care physicians and general public on Neuroemergencies by conducting a CME program on “Clinical Nihilism in Neuroemergencies” in the 3rd week of September under the NTR University of Health Sciences.
The department of Emergency medicine, PESIMSR continues to promote quality healthcare and awareness on various clinical emergencies.Last year the department of Emergency Medicine organized a CME on PediatricEmergencies with theme of “Big thought for little fellows”. Understanding the importance of a knowledge gap in neuroemergencies in primary and secondary healthcare setups the Emergency Medicine team under the directorship of Dr. Rao and supported by the Medical Superintendent Dr. L. Krishna and faculty members Dr. Kulkarni, Dr. Chandrika, Dr. Kranthi Kumar, Dr. Prakash Kabu & Dr. Rajesh K
Dr. Rajesh. K and Dr. Prakash Babu, the premier Emergency Physicians of the state and the pillars to the program added that “It is such an immense pleasure joining hands with EMA INDIA for the program which has immense public importanceand it was a great learning experience for budding Emergency Physicians to hear from the masters”.The CME was pounded with overwhelming response from the audience including the local doctors, IMA members of Kuppam, UG and PG students. The program was an amalgam of inspiration, team work and hope.
The student body as well as the primary care physicians were in praise of the efforts and added that discussions were innovative and practical at the same time. The primary care physicians and registrars added that “Most of the talks were eyeopeners in neuroemergencies and changed their perspectives and approach to neuro emergencies”
The EMA leaders in addition to sharing their knowledge and awareness on Neuroemergenciesgave talks on the current state of accredited academic Emergency Medicine in India and instilled the importance of joining hands with the pioneer organization, the INDUSEM collaborative, under the leadership of Dr. Sagar Galwankar, for the right progress of academic Emergency Medicine in India. They also inspired the young Emergencies Physicians to be a part of the Academic College of Emergency Experts, India which is the official body made up of Quality Accredited Emergency Physicians in India
