On 31st October 2015 The NEIGRIHMS Medical Education Department organized an INDUSEM-CME on “Emerging trends for Emergency Medicine Development in North Eastern India”.
The Symposium was attended by 200 Delegates which included Practicing Physicians, Teaching faculty, Resident Doctors, MBBS students, PG &Post-Doctoral students, Nursing students, Nurses & Paramedics.
INDUSEM Leader and NEIGRIHMS Faculty Dr. Md. Yunus introduced the mission and objectives of the Scientific Sessions. He appraised the Attendees of the goals, activities and achievements of INDUSEM Movement and highlighted the strong points in the NEIGRIHMS-INDUSEM Partnership.
Honorable Director NEIGRIHMS Dr. A. G. Ahangarand Honorable Dean, NEIGRIHMS Dr. Vandana Rraphael provided the needed leadership for this meeting in coordination with Deputy Director (Administration) Mr. David Umdor.
Dr. Ahangar complimented the organizers for the Symposium and enforced the need to speed up the creation of the Academic Department of Emergency Medicine.
The Deputy Director, Mr. Umdor highlighted that NEIGRIHMS is already developing its Trauma Center with the support of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
Scientific sessions included didactic lectures and Skills Workshops on Life Support Skills, Airway Management and Ventilator Support.
This symposium marks the beginning of a new era for Developing Academic Emergency Medicine in the Far East of India.
