EMINDIA 2019 Dazzles in Delhi

To summarize EMINDIA2019 is impossible. A Grand Academic extravaganza dazzled Delhi from 31st July 2019 to 4th August 2019. EMINDIA2019 was held at The All India Institute of Medical Sciences.Innovative Workshops on Emergency Surgical Skills and Emergency Interventional Sonology kick started the event.

The main congress included the Government of India Conclave on National Health Mission focused on developing Emergency Care across India. There was also an annual master class on Emergency Medicine for post graduate students.

The main congress decorated 9 inspiring leaders who have changed the way they led their medical lives to accomplish things outside the purview of medicine without ignoring their patients. Dr. Sandeep Mane, Dr. Pragati Sawhney, Dr. Priti Nanda, Dr. Sharmila Anand, Dr. Vijay Shah, Dr. Hozefa Bhinderwala, Dr. Indrani Sardesai, and a young teenage achiever Ms. Ashile Anand mesmerized the crowds.

300 + speakers spoke at EMINDIA2019 and over 15 teams participated in the Sonography, Quiz and various other competitions. Skill schools on wellness, suture, joint splinting, and emergency airway management were held during EMINDIA2019.

EMINDIA2019 celebrated 150 Years of Mahatma Gandhi and also became the first academic congress in India to be SATVIK certified with pure vegetarian food served during the conference.

The 10 years of INDO-ISRAEL partnership in Emergency and Trauma was also celebrated at EMINDIA with leaders from Israel participating in the event.

The 8th Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts was held during the conference.The convocation was a star studded event with fellows admitted to the college by ICMR Director General Dr. Balram Bhargava and AIIMS Bhopal Director Dr. Sarman Singh. AIIMS Trauma Center Chief Dr. Malhotra was guest of honor.

The prestigious INDUSEM Awards were bestowed during the convocation on academic luminaries which included Dr. Shakuntala Murthy who won the prestigious Dr. Anandibai Joshee Puraskar for her career contribution to the development of Academic Emergency Medicine in India.
