The EMA Goa Chapter Organized The Inaugural EMCARD- The National Summit on Emergency Cardiology On 10th and 11th of May 2019.
Emergency Cardiology is developing Sub Speciality in Emergency Medicine. With over 150 Residency Trained MCI/NBE Recognized Emergency Medicine Specialists graduating every year, the quality of Emergency Cardiac Care needs to be improved by bettering Academic Education and Research in Emergency Cardiology.
The Academic College of Emergency Experts (ACEE), The Emergency Medicine Association (EMA), The Indian College of Cardiology (ICC) along with The Association of Physicians of India Goa Chapter came together to Organize EMACRD2019 under the stewardship of INDUSEM EMA Undersecretary of Goa Dr.DigambarNaik and National Academic Mentor for Goa Dr.Vivek Chauhan. EMCARD is slated to be an Annual Event with its Home in the Wellness Capital of India GOA.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Across India and Indian Council for Medical Research were the Knowledge Partners for EMACRD2019.
EMCARD started off with an Innovative ECG and Emergency Point of Care Thoracic Ultrasound Skill School attended by over 70 Delegates.
Faculty and Delegates came from fields of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

The National Data Mining Network was launched to develop data gathering platforms for Heart Failure and Myocardial Infarction with the help of 30 + Academic EM Programs across India.
Few Days ago ACEE Vice-President and Head of AIIMS Emergency Medicine launched the Mission Delhi to save patients with Acute MI in Delhi using Motor Bike Rescue Medics.
Research Posters and E-Posters were presented whereinDr. Aditya Kumar Bang from Jehangir Hospital, Punewon the Best E-Poster whileDr.Abhijit S from AIIMS New Delhiwon the best Poster Display Competition.
Evenings in Goa were relaxing under the Palm trees, cool breeze and melodious musical nights on the beachside banquet venue of Nanu Beach Resort. It brought big smiles on faces of all delegates who flew from busy and stressed ED settings. The happy faces all around told the story of the success of EMCARD a perfect blend of academics and relaxation.
EMA Goa Undersecretary Dr.DigambarNaik, a prominent Clinical Cardiologist and pioneer of Tele-Echo program in India was the organizing secretary for EMCARD. Dr.Digambar and his entire team deserve special thanks for successful hassle free conduct of EMCARD 2019.
Dates for EMCARD 2020 have been announced as 8th and 9th of May 2020 and venue will be Goa again. Details of EMCARD 2020 will be available on the www.emcardindia.com website soon. The lectures taken during EMCARD 2019 were recorded and will soon be available through the website for wider viewing by those who missed EMCARD 2019. EMCARD 2020 will be a much awaited event by those who were there and those who missed it in 2019. The event ended with sweet memories and a promise to return with a bigger format next year.
