2021 COVITECH World

As India celebrated AZADI Ka Amrit Mohotsav in its 75th Year of Independence, 2021 Saw the world embrace a new normal. 2021 saw the fortification of what started in 2020. People quickly escalated the acceptance of the digital transformation as a part of their lives.

As COVID Vaccination raced up, the world tried to reset itself by travel restrictions being eased coupled with stricter testing rules along with increasing prices of living a life in this changed world.

At INDUSEM we strived hard to create knowledge from science in this changing time.

The early quarter of 2021 saw INDUSEM organizing the COVIPOCUS and COVISIM Virtual Summits which spanned over January and February 2021 respectively. The huge success these meetings brought to light the changing role of Point of Care Sonography and Simulation Technologies in our daily lives.

Our Regional meeting in Andhra Pradesh and our International engagement at The American International Medicine Congress also witnessed digital representation from our delegates and leaders.

We celebrated our leaders who achieved recognitions and academic advancements in their careers with Dr. Lavesh Jadhav, Dr Sandeep Sahu and Ms. Sonia Chauhan winning national awards and Dr. Venkat achieving Full Professorship at IIM Lucknow.

Our Flash Mob Video crossed half a million views and we also celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav by Organizing the Azadi ki Amrit Parikrama where bikers rode for 7000 KM circling India across 12 states and that was a records for the books which we celebrate even today.

We signed off the year as we hosted The World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine India which was an extravaganza which titled “WACEM21 WoWs the World”. 10 Days, 150 + National & International Faculty with over 200 hours of education virtually. This was preceded by our NEAT Course and this set the course for a Hybrid model for conferencing in the future.

Telemedicine includes Technologies for Education, Research and Patient Care and That is the Future. INDUSEM not only Published the first very land mark document of Telemedicine but also provided a vital tool-kit for pediatric COVID preparedness in India.

“The Time has changed and COVID continues to survive with its variants. Transformation via Technology has become the present and will be the future. An epidemic of seminars , workshops, conferences continues to flood the digital space and physicians and health workers have easy access to gigabytes of data …….. well it is time for getting efficient and accurate with knowledge translation using technology..
