AIIMS Rishikesh has taken urgent steps to begin a legitimate residency program in Emergency Medicine.
Running a legitimate EM residency program needs a lot of effort from the faculty side with better understanding of curriculum and incorporating revised teaching methods stated Prof Dr Aggarwal Head of AIIMS Emergency Medicine.
The Department of Emergency Medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh also successfully conducted their first CME on “Essence of Diagnostic markers and Treatment protocols in Emergency Arena” with the support of nationally eminent subject experts.
Director and CEO, Padmashree Prof Dr Ravi Kant emphasised on Competency and Outcome based models to be considered for Emergency Medicine.
AIIMS Rishikesh, which under the directorship of Padmashree Prof Dr Ravi Kant, has become one the premier institutes in the country to initiate the process of setting up Emergency Medicine and Trauma Care System.
The Department of EM, AIIMS Rishikesh comprises a team of dynamic leaders including Dr Bharat Bhushan, Dr Nidhi Kaeley, Dr Vempalli Nagasubramanyam, Dr Ankita Kabi, Dr Poonam Arora and their chief Dr Subodh Kumar. This team and the department promises to be one of the best in the coming years.
ACEE-EMA Leaders have initiated the process of supporting this landmark initiative of AIIMS-Rishikesh. ACEE-EMA has always been focussed on working with Government recognised Academic Medicine Institutes to start Academic EM Programs.
